Just when you thought Jarryd Hayne’s rags to riches story couldn’t get any more inspirational – this happens.
The 27-year-old Sydney local has been photographed cuddling up to 18-year-old popstar Dinah Jane Hansen, who is a member of US girl group Fifth Harmony.
The photo has sent Twitter into a frenzy, with rumours the pair are dating now flooding social media sites.

Jarryd may have done pretty darn well in the sporting world as the San Francisco’s 49ers running back, but as we all know you haven’t officially made it in the USA until you’ve dated a celebrity – or at least been linked to one!
The sweet snap of the pair was captured in the tunnel of the 49er’s Levi Stadium after the team’s win on Monday night.
Although the duo have a nine year age gap Dinah, who rose to fame on the 2012 series of X Factor US, shares a similar cultural background with the athlete.
The pair both have South Pacific roots with Dinah being of Tongan decent and Jarryd’s dad a successful Fijian rugby player.
Although Jarryd’s NFL debut this week may have been met with a lukewarm reception, his love life might be heating up.
