The Channel Seven stars have been dating since 2017, and this week wed at Luttrellstown Castle near Dublin.

Ahead of her big day, Sarah spoke to TV WEEK about wanting to feel like a princess at her fairytale wedding.

“I’m going to feel like Cinderella on the day, but not necessarily because of the dress,” Sarah, 34, teased. “It could be because of the venue.”

She also revealed the designer behind her wedding dress is Australian Fashion House Alin Le’ Kal – the same team behind her stunning gold frock for the 61st TV WEEK Logie Awards.

Sarah added that while she loved her gorgeous Logies ensemble, it was more difficult for her to choose her wedding gown as she was hoping to remember the occasion for years to come.

“I care more about my wedding dress, I’m going to look at those photos forever,” she said.

Sarah previously said she and James are set to marry outside of Australia, and that some of her Home And Away co-stars may be in attendance.

“There might be a few but we’re having a destination wedding so it depends who’s available,” she revealed.

Since their engagement, which was announced last December, Sarah had thrown herself into planning for her and James’ big day – and she left nothing until the last minute.

“We’ve prepped so much actually,” Sarah said last month. “A venue, guest list, dress, bridal party. There’s so much, I didn’t realise how much there was to prep.”

Speaking to TV WEEK in early 2018, Sarah gushed about the first moment she met ex-Packed To The Rafters actor after she moved from Melbourne to Sydney to start her role as Willow on Home and Away.

Little did Sarah know, the man of her dreams was waiting for her on the sands of Summer Bay in the form of her co-star James.

“I know – I found it [love]!” she grinned after we pointed out this happy fact.

And the actress has a surprising way of recalling when they crossed paths for the first time.

“We started dating around the time of the Connor McGregor fight [against boxer Floyd Mayweather]. It’s pretty funny that’s how I remember it,” Sarah laughed.

The candid behind the scenes shot was shared to Instagram.

It was during Sarah’s first scene on the Aussie drama that James first caught her eye. Dressed in leather, her character Willow rode into Summer Bay with a mean right hook and an agenda.

The first person she met in town was James’ character, Justin.

“I’m a nervous person and I shot about eight scenes that day, so it was full-on,” she recalled. “But Jimmy took me under his wing [that day]. I learnt a lot from him.”

The chemistry between Willow and Justin was electric and they soon became H&A’s hot new couple. Before long, that spark spilled into the actors’ personal lives.

“We became friends and things just evolved,” Sarah smiled. “He’s very funny, charming, kind and generous – plus he’s handsome! So all of those things attracted me to him.”

For Sarah, knowing their love is real off-screen has actually helped her on set.

“There’s real chemistry, so it’s easy – I don’t even have to act!” she exclaimed.

“It’s hard not to laugh sometimes – he’s very funny. But it also adds to the work that we do, having those little secrets. It’s fun.”
