Last week James confessed he was feeling “nervous” about his only child, who he shares with ex Jessica Marais, starting big school next year.

And now it seems the impending milestone has really hit the 42-year-old.

On Sunday, James uploaded a cherubic snap of Scout asking her for one small albeit impossible favour.

“Don’t grow up too quick sweetheart,” Jame penned alongside a stunning photo of his girl in a blue Frozen-esque Princess dress.

It’s a bitter-sweet moment that all parents can relate to but James says despite his little girl growing up before his eyes, she’ll always be his main priority.

“Once you realise it’s about Scout, everything’s easy,” he told Sunday Style of co-parenting with his former fiancee.

“Jess and I have nothing to hide. I think dignity is the key. We are both out for each other’s best interests.”
