Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough are just days away from tying the knot at their lavish Mexican wedding.
Karl’s brothers Peter and Tom will also be playing roles as groomsmen but it seems neither made the cut for the role of Karl’s right-hand man.
After all, when you’re having a fancy wedding, you need a fancy best man by your side and the Today Show host has recruited none other than billionaire bestie, James Packer.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Karl, 44, was in a “mild panic” after his bride-to-be said she wanted seven bridesmaids and he had to add more groomsmen to the official wedding party.
James and Karl have been close for years, the Herald previously reported that Karl sat front row at James’ wedding to former wife Erica Baxter back in 2007.

In 2015, Karl spent Christmas with James and other friends sharing an Instagram snap of his friends captioned, “I just love time with family and the best of friends over Christmas. It’s the most important thing in my life. Lots of love for the festive season everyone.”
In July this year, Karl and Jasmine were spotted sailing around Sardinia with James and his girlfriend, Kylie Lim.
Not only that, but The Herald Sun reported that Karl and Jasmine will wed at James Packer’s Cabo San Lucas property so it seems fair that the billionaire businessman will play a starring role.

The happy couple recently celebrated their respective bucks and hens nights and now the final preparations are in order.
Guests include the Today Show‘s Richard Wilkins and his son Christian, cricketer Shane Warne, radio shock jock Alan Jones and even former deputy PM Julie Bishop and her partner David Panton. However Karl’s former Today co-host Lisa Wilkinson recently confirmed she wouldn’t be attending.
The wedding will take place at the One&Only Palmilla Resort in San Jose del Cabo and sources have told Woman’s Day that the couple have booked out the chapel and reception area in order to make guests believe this is their “one and only” day.
“Karl just wants to gift Jasmine with an over-the-top lavish affair – at whatever cost,” says the source.
“But the question remains, what is the purpose of it all if it’s not even the wedding? A big party and celebration just so Jasmine gets the chance to show off her style on the world stage?”
