Reports of an involvement between Wendi Deng and Russian President Vladimir Putin have been circling for years since their separate divorces in 2013 and 2014, but now a new source has told Us Weekly that the two are a “serious” item.
As both Vladimir and Wendi are unattached following recent divorces, the potential for this couple is certainly not impossible, however since neither party has commented on the claims and as the alleged new couple are yet to be spotted together, we’ll be taking this one with a grain of salt.
Not to mention it is April fool’s day…
Following her divorce, Wendi Deng is single and ready to mingle.
The 63-year-old politician was the spouse of Lyudmila Putina for 30 years before their April 2014 divorce.
After their split, Vladimir was rumoured to be dating Russian gymnast Alina Kabaeva before reports of an alleged love child between the two emerged.
A representative for Vladimir was quick to deny the accusations.
“Information that a child has been born to Vladimir Putin is not true,” spokesman Dimitry Peskov told Forbes Russia in March 2015 after the rumours began.

Alina was the youngest rhythmic gymnast to win the European Championships in 1998 Porto at 15 years of age.
Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch filed for divorce from the Chinese-born beauty after 14 years of marriage in June 2013 after he reportedly discovered secret diary entries that revealed a love affair between her and the former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
In one memo to herself, the mother-of-two had scrawled: “Whatever why I’m so so missing Tony. Because he is so charming and his clothes are so good.”
“He has such a good body and he had his really, really good legs butt [sic] and he is slim tall and good skin. Pierce blue eyes which I love. Love his eyes. Also I love his power on the stage and what else what else what else…”

84-year-old Rupert has since moved on with 59-year-old former model Jerry Hall. The billionaire tycoon said “I do” for the fourth time last month in private ceremony at the lavishly picturesque Spencer House in central London.
“Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in world,” a smitten Rupert tweeted after the celebrations.
