If marrying your soulmate isn’t perfect enough, House Husbands’ Gyton Grantley and his bride Alex Ortuso went one step further by revealing some exciting news on their big day: they’re expecting their first child!
“We’re both so excited to be welcoming a baby in September,” says Alex, who was 17 weeks pregnant on their wedding day last weekend.
“We keep getting little gifts from family and Gyton can’t believe how small they are. I don’t think he’s ever seen a baby!” she laughs.
But the surprises didn’t end there.
The newlyweds also revealed they’d secretly married three months ago at a registry office, making their lavish Byron Bay ceremony the second time they said “I do.”
The couple had their guests in stitches having written their own vows.
“We had a small ceremony in Melbourne, so this second wedding was about sharing it with all our friends and family,” says Gyton.
It was a day full of grand gestures, with the groom arriving at the stunning Elements of Byron Resort & Spa on horseback for the beachside ceremony.
Dressed in an exquisite custom-made Fiona Claire wedding gown with a cape trailing behind her, Alex took Gyton’s breath away.

In a beautiful touch, Gyton’s House Husbands co-star Julia Morris acted as the “unofficial” wedding celebrant and proceeded with the formalities in her classic, comical style.
“Even I got emotional,” Julia reveals.
