He’s the boy from Oz, Wolverine and an all-round national treasure – so there’s little surprise that EVERYONE is completely taken with Hugh Jackman.
But none more so than elderly pensioner Nanna Mary.
On Wednesday, Hugh dropped by Channel Seven’s Sunrise to promote his new movie The Greatest Showman with his co-stars Zac Efron and Zendaya.
While he may have snapped selfies with the show’s host Sam Armytage, it was Nanna Mary that caught Hugh’s attention.
During the ad break, the 49-year-old took the time to chat to all the fans that came by the Sydney studio.
Sam introduced the pair, with super-fan Mary hilariously remarking, “It is wonderful to meet you. Can I touch you?”
Smitten, he replied, “You can touch me. Absolutely!”
The cuteness didn’t stop there.

Nana Mary shared, “I’m in a nursing home and I’ve got your picture plastered all over the walls. The nurses and everybody agree with me that you are the most perfect man on God’s earth!”
“Wow,” Hugh responded to her endearing compliment.
Proving she could become a Sunrise host, Mary then asked Hugh how he felt about her proclamations.
“I’m going to actually have that recorded and that’s going to be my alarm clock evey morning,” he joked.
Passing on a message to Deborra-lee Furness, Nana Mary joked, “Tell your wife she is the luckiest woman ever. Please!”
We bet Nanna Mary will be very fond of her Hugh in his latest flick.
The movie sees him portray P.T. Barnum, who founded the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
The dad-of-two has been trying to share this story for seven years… And from what we’ve seen it was well worth the wait!
Hugh will hit the red carpet for The Greatest Showman‘s Sydney premiere this evening – we wonder if Nanna Mary will be there for round two?
