Hugh Jackman is one of Hollywood’s nicest people, but he is also known for being a dedicated family guy.
The Wolverine actor has further proved that notion by penning a sweet tribute dedicated to his wife of 25 years, Deborra-Lee Furness for her 66th birthday.
Taking to his Instagram to share his besotted message, Hugh posted a throwback picture of them together from an evening out.
In his caption, he wrote about how the world should nominate the 30th November for public holiday status to celebrate Deb.
“It’s my incredible wife’s birthday. Not sure if I can declare a public holiday!!!”
The dad-of-two followed up this bold statement with an argument supporting his grand idea.
“But feels like we should. Because there’s no one on this planet I know who celebrates every moment of every day like her. Deb, you are everything to me. I love you. Happy birthday!”
The couple tend to keep details about their love rather private, but this birthday message wasn’t the only tribute penned by the actor this year.
To mark 25 years of marriage in April, Hugh shared a gorgeous post about his wife that pulled at the world’s heartstrings.
“Being married to you, Deb is as natural as breathing. From nearly the moment we met … I knew our destiny was to be together,” he began.
“In our 25 years – our love has only grown deeper. The fun, excitement and adventure more exhilarating; the learning even greater.
“I’m forever grateful to share our love, our life – and, our family together. We’ve only just begun. Deb, I love you with all my heart!”
Then in August, to promote his film Reminiscence in the US, he gushed over Deb’s spirit and the strength of their marriage when his interviewer Hoda Kotb asked him about their relationship.
“Deb is the lightest, most optimistic person I’ve ever met in my life,” Hugh gushed.
“If you ever want to play the game ‘who’s the happiest person in the room?’ – Deb wins.
“People often say ‘marriage is so much work,’ and there are some things you’ve got to live by but it hasn’t felt like that,” Hugh said sweetly.
“It’s been one of the best things, by far.”
