Jenna Dewan Tatum has revealed how husband Channing Tatum initially won her heart and – strangely enough – it involves a sombrero.
The 36-year-old, who met her future-husband while filming Step Up (2006), made the interesting confession while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, April 25.
“I said, ‘Well, look, if you want to date other people and be free that’s totally fine. But we’re not gonna hang out and watch movies. You have to figure out what you want because I want a relationship,'” she recalled.
Three days later, after a “wild tequila night” with the film’s dancers, the Magic Mike star, also 36, found himself on her hotel room doorstep.
“I go and open the door — he’s going to kill me for this — and he has [on] underwear, a sombrero and Ugg boots, and he’s like, ‘Let’s do this,’” Jenna explained.

And it wasn’t long before news of their newfound relationship made its way to the dance film’s set…
“It’s even worse because the next morning he was in my room and I go to set because I had an earlier call time. I’m getting hair and makeup done and an hour goes by and the production assistants go, ‘We can’t find Channing. We don’t know where he is. He’s not in his room. We’ve banged on his door and called his room.’ And I called a PA over and said, ‘He’s in my room,'” Jenna said.
When he finally showed his face on set… Jenna said that he was met with a round of applause from his costars and the crew.
The couple were married just three years later and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Everly, in 2013.
And after more than a decade together, there’s a surprising way the pair keep things exciting in their marriage.
“We are not sex schedulers – not yet! Give us a couple more years. Maybe with child number two,” she told Redbook magazine in a new interview.
“I think all women should keep it exciting for themselves. People always ask, ‘Do you do anything to keep it fresh for your man?’ I hate that question. I’m like, ‘No. Why is it for your man?’ I do things to keep it fresh for myself. The lingerie I buy is not for him necessarily. It’s for us and for myself.”
“If you feel sexy, then it’s good for you.”
