Home And Away star James Stewartโs ears must have been burning as Womanโs Day chatted with his wife, Aussie actress Sarah Roberts.
โSorry, Jimmyโs trying to call me, Iโll just cancel that,โ she says in the middle of our conversation where Sarah opens up about everything โ from her new movie, Wog Boys Forever, to the widespread rumours that the coupleโs three-year marriage is on the rocks!
โYou can definitely clear it upโฆ weโre happy,โ the 37-year-old exclusively tells Womanโs Day. โHe picked me up from the airport last week, when I landed from Tuscany, with a big bouquet of pink tulips. Iโve been sick lately and heโs been gorgeous. Heโs been looking after me with chicken soup and foot rubs.โ

She married James in 2019.

Sarah also laughs off reports the pair have stopped following each other on social media.
โI canโt get rid of Jimmy, he follows me around in real life everywhere,โ she jokes. โLook, you have to have a thick skin, donโt you?!โ
But the actress confesses she is concerned about her stepdaughter Scout catching wind of the stories.
โWhat I worry about more is Scoutโs little 10-year-old heart,โ says Sarah, who reveals the couple โdefinitelyโ donโt discuss rumours about their relationship with the tween.
โI donโt think we have any friends careless enough to show her an article like that.โ

She quickly shut down divorce rumours.
(Image: Instagram)Sarah admits the pair have faced their fair share of challenges though, after tying the knot in July 2019.
โSo much has happened in our three years of marriage. My brother passed away, we had COVIDโฆ it feels very long [laughs] but at the same time it feels like itโs gone just like that,โ says the star, who has just returned from a holiday in Europe. โIt was wonderful going back to Ireland because thatโs where we got married and I was able to relive that all over again.โ
Sarahโs jumping on another plane and heading over to the US this month, where sheโs keen to kickstart her career in Hollywood.
โIโve still got management over there and they want me to come over as I havenโt been there since I started on Home And Away, which is like five years [ago],โ she says, sharing that her team have โsome exciting stuffโ lined up for her.
โIโd love to do a long-running HBO series, Iโd love to find stability again with my work, Iโd love to do an action movie,โ says Sarah.
โItโs an exciting time.โ
Making a permanent move to the States, though, would be complicated with their work and family dynamic.
โItโs kind of hard with Jimmy, because heโs contracted fulltime with Home And Away and weโve got Scout, obviously, as well, but itโs not off the cards,โ says the Melbourne-born star, who reveals the couple have the primary school student โ who James shares with his ex, Packed To The Rafters star Jessica Marais โ โmost of the timeโ.

Sarah has an amazing relationship with her step-daughter.
(Image: Instagram)โWeโre both driven by our careers but family also is a massive component there,โ Sarah admits. โLots to think about.โ
MUM LIFE
She says her relationship with her stepdaughter is far less complicated.
โScoutโs a beautiful girl and weโve both put a lot of effort into our relationship, so itโs been pretty easy, breezy, which is lucky for both of us,โ she shares of their sweet bond.
โWhen I landed my role in Wog Boys Forever, I remember getting the call and it was just Scout and I at home, Iโd just picked her up from school. We both did a happy dance in the lounge room and then we went down the street and got crepes together. I got a champagne and she got a lemonade.โ
Sarah says playing DJ Cleo in the new Aussie comedy was a full-circle moment.
โI grew up watching the Wog Boy films,โ says the Sydney-based actress, who first met co-star and film creator Nick Giannopoulos more than a decade ago.
โI knew Nick somehow, because Iโm a Melbourne girl, and asked if I could have a coffee with him โ I wanted some acting advice. Itโs funny because we had that chat on set and we reminded each other of that moment and there we were working together, which was pretty cool. He was a breeze to work with. I learned so much from him.โ

Sarah loves to DJ!
(Image: Instagram)Sarah isnโt ruling out working alongside her talented husband again either.
โIโd love to return to Summer Bay if the story made sense,โ says the actress, who left the soap in April 2021. โItโs just a really great regular job. I think thatโs what Jimmy loves so much about it โ the stability. Itโs hard to find stability as an actor, especially in Australia.โ
As to if her 46-year-old partner would ever ditch the soap, which heโs been on since 2016, Sarah reveals, โYouโd have to ask him. I always make a joke and say heโs going to be the next Alf!โ
