Hayden Quinn has made the leap from reality food show contestant on MasterChef Australia to judge on Nine Network’s new reality cooking series Family Food Fight. But while that was one jump the 31-year-old was happy to make, there’s another he’s not quite ready to tackle – matrimony.
Hayden has been dating American model Jax Raynor for almost two years. But he tells TV WEEK that neither he nor his girlfriend – who relocated to Australia recently to be closer to him – is ready to settle down.
“God, no − we’re a bit young,” he laughs when asked about marriage.
“We’re happy where we are at the moment. We’re very busy just travelling and enjoying life.”
Hayden – who has two cookbooks to his name, including one co-written with Dan Churchill – says Jax is glad she made the move to Australia.
“Being away from her family is hard, but it’s nice to have her here,” he says, adding that the blonde beauty is an even bigger foodie than he is.
“She cooks at home, not me,” Hayden laughs. “That means I’m always doing the dishes.”
Jax, 22, has recently started a food blog called ‘Model Turned Cook’. No doubt it was being around a healthy chef like Hayden that inspired her!
