Years before he was a married father of two, the host of Nine’s ratings bonanza Lego Masters and one of Australia’s top-earning TV personalities, Hamish Blake was just a university dropout cracking jokes on community radio with his best made, Andy Lee.
The duo first sauntered onto our airwaves in 2003, following their breakout star performance at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and then in 2005 they gained a national audience (and an avid fanbase) when The Hamish and Andy Show premiered on Channel Seven.
Just one year later in 2006, their drive radio show Hamish & Andy kicked off and became a raging success.
And since then, the hilarious duo have gone on to create their Hamish & Andy’s Gap Year show together, along with a range of other TV and radio projects.
We were feeling a little nostalgic for this early noughties era when spiked hair and Kanye-style aviator sunnies were on-trend, so we took a look back through the archives for some classic, old school photos of Hamish Blake to help us remember that glorious moment in time.
