Aria award winning singer songwriter Guy Sebastian has launched a new business venture, and it’s not what you would think!
The 41-year-old first shot to fame as the first winner of Australian Idol in 2003 and in the more than two decades since, has released nine albums, gone on tour almost 30 times, represented Australia at Eurovision in 2015 and served as a judge on The X Factor and more recently The Voice.
In 2013, the ‘Battle Scars’ singer also co-founded the Sebastian Foundation along with his wife Jules to ”change lives for the better by giving young Australians the resilience and confidence they need to grow and be their best.”
And now, Guy is dipping his toes into the beauty world, launching a line of fragrances in partnership with Chemist Warehouse.
Taking to his Instagram to share the exciting news, Guy wrote that it had been a lifelong ”dream” to create his own perfume range.
”Hey peeps!! It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to create a line of fragrances. Everyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with fragrances,” Guy started.
”Everyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with fragrances. I never leave the house without a scent on, and I love that feeling when you find that new smell that just speaks to you.
”It’s just such a personal taste thing and becomes a signature when you enter and leave around.”
The Aussie icon then went on to explain how the first perfume to be released under his new fragrance line would be called ‘Embrace’ and was created as a tribute to his wife of the past 15 years Jules.
”I created Embrace for my wife Jules, who many of you know I have shared most of my life with,” Guy continued.
”I’m so glad she loves it and I hope you love it too. A massive shout out to @chemistwarehouseaus for letting me get creative in a different way.”
Jules was quick to comment on the post, writing a sweet response of her own: ”Now I can finally smell as you!”
Guy Sebastian Embrace for Her will be on sale exclusively at Chemist Warehouse from April 6th.
