He’s always the life of the party but a worrying report from The New York Post’s Page Six column alleges Hef is so poorly that he weighs just 40-kilograms.
The publication also claims Hugh, who has been keeping a low profile in recent months, is requesting any guests that visit the Playboy Mansion sign a confidentially agreement to prevent information leaking.
“He looks like he is down to around 90 pounds (40 kilos) and super sick,” an insider claims.
His people are really trying to keep this under wraps. You even have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go up to see him,” the source adds.
In August, Hef handed over the reins for his annual Midsummer Night’s Dream party to his 25-year-old son, Cooper, who hosted the bash on his father’s behalf.

Hef took to social media to post a photo with his son supposedly at the event but it’s believed he didn’t actually attend the soiree.
Last year, British glamour model Carla Howe told The Sun that the publishing heavyweight was living a reclusive life as his health wains.
“Hef is so frail he goes everywhere with a group of nurses. Most of the time all he wants is to play chess with his friends and watch old films,” Carla claimed.
“He almost never leaves home and refuses to change anything in the mansion the whole place feels like it’s stuck in the 1980s,” she added.
Over the weekend Hef, who wed 30-year-old model Crystal Harris in 2012, addressed the speculation surrounding his ill health.
“I wish the tabloids had informed me a little earlier in the week that I’m sick. I might have cancelled my weekend plans,” he tweeted, before posting a happy snap with Crystal as they cuddled up for a movie night at the mansion (above).
After a false start, Hugh and Crystal tied the knot in 2012.
“Tonight’s Mansion movie is the classic western, ‘Shane,'” the Girls Of The Playboy Mansion star penned via Twitter.
In June, Hugh sold the his sprawling Playboy Mansion in LA for $USD200 million.
However as part of the agreement Hef is permitted to live there until he passes away.
