Grant Denyer’s painful hospital saga has come to an end, with the beloved television host returning home to his family today.
Chezzi Denyer has been keeping fans updated on Grant’s condition, ever since he was first admitted to hospital back in March.
Grant, who injured himself during routine farm work, was diagnosed with an Annular Fissure, or “Disc Tear” in his L5-S1 Disc with a disc bulge. His injury left him in terrible pain, bed-ridden in hospital, as he took a break from his television and radio commitments.
Grant briefly returned to work to host the final episodes of Dancing With The Stars Australia with Amanda Keller, before checking back in to a Sports Physiotherapy Recovery Hospital following the Grand Finale.
Now, Grant, 41, is finally heading home to be with his wife, Chezzi, 39, and their daughters Sailor, 7, and Scout, 2.
Chezzi shared the news with a gorgeous photo of Scout hugging her dad, writing in the Instagram caption “After just over a week, he’s out of the Sports Physiotherapy Hospital AND HOME!!”
Chezzi has been incredibly honest with her followers about the difficulty of having Grant in hospital this past month.
“Hardest part of taking the girls to visit Daddy, is when it’s time to leave and they don’t want to let go,” she shared on Instagram just five days ago.
She followed up with another post later, writing she was “just so tired” and had “had enough” of the recent struggle.
“I am so grateful for so much, I really am, but today I just feel crappy,” she posted.
We’re happy to hear things are finally looking up for their wonderful family! Rest up, Grant.
