With just four months to go until bringing her little bundle of joy into the world, we’re more than relieved to announce that Channel 9 journalist Erin Molan is doing OK following what has been described as a “frightening” fall.
According to Nine.com.au, Erin confirmed with Wide World of Sports that she and her baby are healthy and well after being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital after falling down because of low blood pressure.
9’s Director of Sport, Tom Malone’s statement read: “Erin’s the perfect example of Nine’s business strategy in that she creates great content across all platforms for all of our content divisions – including Nine News, 20-1, 9Honey and of course The Footy Show and Wide World of Sports. Her work ethic is second to none.”
“Right from the outset, we’ve told Erin that her health and her baby’s health are the first priority and whatever precautions we need to take around that we will.”
“I had a little incident ,which wasn’t fun. I think I need to learn that my body isn’t capable of what it was last year,” Molan told Georgie Gardnr and Karl on the TODAY show.
“I’m in great health and the baby is fine,” she added. I” hit my knees and I hit my head, but not my stomach so the baby is fine.”
And Erin’s fainting episode hasn’t been the only hiccup she’s endured during the pregnancy of her little girl.
“It hasn’t been fun. It’s been horrendous, it’s been awful!” Erin continued, speaking about her experience with Hyperemesis Gravidarum – the same condition Duchess Catherine endured through all three of her pregnanices.
“I’m past the halfway mark now and feeling much better!”
This isn’t the first time Erin has taken to TV screens to talk about her personal life. Back in December, an elated Erin took to the airwaves to announce that she was expecting her first baby with fiancé Sean Ogilvy.
“Sean and I are very blessed and very excited to announce, I guess, that we are having a child, which is slightly terrifying but beautiful news,” Erin told newsreader — and new Today co-host — Georgie Gardner on 9NEWS.
Not only that, but seven months prior to that, Erin took to the TV screen for another momentous announcement, with the sports reporter confirming her engagement to her police-officer beau.
“It was really, really lovely, I’m the luckiest girl on the world,” she said of Sean’s proposal on an episode of The Footy Show.
“It happened last Sunday morning and it was really special.”
Here’s to a speedy recovery, Erin!
