TMZ reports that Sir Elton will take to the stage on Harry and Meghanโ€™s big day, but itโ€™s still unknown whether it will be during the ceremony at St Georgeโ€™s Chapel or at the evening reception at Frogmore House.

The Tiny Dancer singer was originally going to perform in Las Vegas over the weekend, but due to a โ€œscheduling conflictโ€ these performances were rescheduled months, now we know why! Elton took to Instagram to thank fans coming to his final Vegas show and then heโ€™ll be jetting on a plane to London.

Elton John has a close relationship with the British Royal Family and was firm friends with the late Princess Diana. The two worked together in the fight against AIDS during the 1990s and Elton famously sang โ€˜Candle in the Windโ€™ at her 1997 funeral.

He and husband David Furnish were also in attendance at the 2011 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. In fact, songstress Ellie Goulding performed her cover of Eltonโ€™s smash hit โ€˜Your Songโ€™ for their first dance, so Harry and Meghan may get the original version!

The eight-time Grammy winner told The Sun that he โ€œloves him [Harry] very dearly,โ€ and has commented in the past that Dianaโ€™s youngest has inherited his motherโ€™s charitable compassion.

โ€œShe had that incredible ability, which he [Harry] kind of inherited โ€“ and I told him that, and he said thanks very much โ€“ to make people feel at ease and make them feel that everythingโ€™s going to be all right.โ€

The question on everyoneโ€™s lips is which hit will Elton sing?

According to Sportsbet, punters predict that Whitney Houstonโ€™s 80โ€™s pop anthem I Wanna Dance With Somebody will be their first dance at 1.45 but Sir Elton is at number two at 2.88.

Whatever it is, that dancefloor will be incredible! And weโ€™re still holding out for a last minute inviteโ€ฆ
