It was the romance that had the whole country talking – TV’s most lovable vet-turned-eligible bachelor Dr Chris Brown settling down with his gorgeous new girlfriend, TV presenter Liv Phyland.
And while the couple have spent most of the past year quietly dating, earlier this month Liv shocked fans when she told Woman’s Day she and the 41-year-old heartthrob were nothing more than “just friends”.
Now, the blonde has sent the rumour mill into overdrive after publicly reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend, former model and actor Nick Slater.
Commenting on a touching post Nick dedicated to his late father, Liv – who still follows the Bondi-based surfer on Instagram – shared a love heart on Nick’s post before telling him “What a man” she remembered Nick’s dad to be.

Liv and Nick reportedly first started dating in 2017 after meeting as neighbours. The pair bonded over surfing and wellness – interests Liv and Chris also shared.
While their relationship officially ended in late 2018, fans have been quick to point out Nick’s uncanny resemblance to Chris.
As well as being an avid surfer, Nick, 31, has golden blond locks and piercing blue eyes, just like the good doctor.
“It’s kind of weird how Liv and Nick’s relationship mirrored Liv and Chris’ – from their surfing dates to cosy picnics and attending events together.
“If you didn’t know better, you’d almost think they were the same guy!” says an insider.

Despite reconnecting with her ex, a source close to 29-year-old Liv tells Woman’s Day she’s been secretly struggling with her split from the busy TV host.
“Their schedules were crazy – when Chris was free she wasn’t and when she was free he wasn’t there – it was tough. It’s little wonder they couldn’t make it work,” says the insider.
