After bidding his family farewell in mid-September due to his cricket career, David Warner has penned an emotional message dedicated to his wife, Candice, and their daughters, Ivy Mae, Indi Rae and Isla Rose.
Taking to his Instagram, the athlete, 35, shared a throwback of Candice planting a tender kiss on his cheek during a night out.
In the accompanying caption, he revealed his heartbreak over the tough border closures, that mean he’s unable to be with his family.
“#throwback can’t wait to see my girls!! Hopefully borders open, and we can be together very soon,” David wrote.
The father-of-three, who had to celebrate his 35th birthday alone in October, also expressed the magnitude he is missing his “rocks” and their “support.”
“Have missed you all soo much,” he finished.
Of course, Candice shared her desire to see him soon in his comment section, writing, “I love you darling. Can’t wait to see you soon. ❤️.”
“❤️❤️❤️❤️,” replied David.
Before David left to play cricket, he was able to spend weeks in lockdown with his wife and their three daughters but when he had to leave them again, the devoted family man shared a slew of pictures with a heartfelt caption.
“I’m going to miss you all soo much. It’s been such a great time at home with the family, and now it’s back to work,” David wrote.
He also noted that although being home was a dream, he didn’t make for the best stand-in teacher during the lockdown.
“I must admit homeschooling was not my greatest strength but being a dad, and I was pretty good.”
David devoted the rest of his post to Candice by writing, “High marks for mum for being extremely patient with us all, and I don’t know how you do it. You make me smile everyday. Blessed to have you by my side @candywarner1 😘.”
It’s been a tough year for the family, who have spent most of it separated.
Their first and most uncertain stint occurred earlier this year when the Australian government banned David and his cricket team from entering the country due to the dangerous COVID-19 wave in India where the team had been playing.
