Cristiano Ronaldo is celebrating the safe arrival of his newborn daughter, Alana Martin, who he welcomed with his 22-year-old partner Georgina Rodriquez at the Hospital Quiron Universal in Madrid on Sunday.
The sporting legend confirmed he’d become a father for the fourth time via Instagram, sharing a photo with Georgina, Alana and his seven-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr in hospital scrubs beaming with their new family member.
“Alana Martin has just been born! Both Geo and Alana are doing great! We’re very happy,” the Real Madrid player penned.
His newborn daughter joins the star’s five-month-old twins, daughter Eva and son Mateo, who were reportedly born via a surrogate in the US in June, and oldest child Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, who is also believed to be born through a surrogate although Cristiano has never confirmed this.
In the space of a few short months, the soccer champ has gone from being a father-of-one to four, and he says he couldn’t be more thrilled.
“Being a father is a unique and personal journey, something that has changed me completely. It’s taught me things about love that I never knew existed. It has softened me and given me a different perspective on what is really important in my life,” the Portuguese-born star said last week.
“I can’t wait to be a dad again. Being a father and seeing my family grow is without doubt the greatest privilege I’ve had. Spending time with them, being by their side, smiling and laughing with them. They’ve brought a lot of happiness and joy to my life.”
However Ronaldo’s daughter’s arrival has been marred by a cheating scandal.
Over the weekend, an explosive report by The Sun on Sunday claimed the father-of-four had cheated on Georgina with a Portuguese reality TV star called Natacha Rodrigues.
The 21-year-old alleges to the publication they slept with each other in March after exchanging flirty texts for two years.
“I knew he had a girlfriend but we became friends. He was a lovely person and after messaging for so long it was amazing to be with him. Our night together was special,” she said.
“But afterwards I told him I was going on a Portuguese reality show and he told me not to do it. By the time I came out he’d blocked me. Now I think he just used me for sex. I don’t have regrets because being with him was like a dream come true but I feel betrayed.”
Rolando is yet to respond to her allegations.
