With over 447 million followers on Instagram, Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed man on social media.
The football star, 37, is known for his impressive skills on the pitch but following the release of I Am Georgina on Netflix, all eyes are on his girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez.
But who is the mother, influencer and businesswoman who happens to be in love with the sporting legend? Get to know her here.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to a Spanish mum and Argentine dad on January 27th 1994, Georgina grew up the Spanish city of Jaca and had a humble start to life.
The brunette beauty grew up dancing and was a waitress in her hometown before working as an au pair in Bristol, UK.
After studying English in London, Georgina then began her career as a model and social media influencer.
“It’s very important not to forget where I come from,” Georgina admits in I Am Georgina.
“I know what it’s like to not have anything and what it’s like to have it all.”

“Our first meeting was at Gucci, where I worked as a sales assistant,” she said in an interview with The Sun of her first meeting with Cristiano.
“Days later, we saw each other again at another brand’s event. It was then that we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside my work environment. It was love at first sight for both.”
Needless to say, Georgina admitted that the nerves were there when she and Cristiano first crossed paths.

“I am very shy and perhaps this stirred me more in front of a person who, with one glance, had touched me very deeply.
“Then after, the way Cristiano treats me, cares for me and loves me did the rest.”
Georgina now has her own Netflix miniseries, I Am Georgina.

“Being the partner of someone so famous is not easy but I would not change it for the world,” she told The Sun.
“What I feel for him is stronger than anything, any kind of pressure. Together we are stronger and there is a mutual admiration. But to seduce and to dream is so important. I always sleep in lingerie and I prefer sexy lingerie.
“It is comfortable and sexy and romantic. It has everything and it will make your man happy as well.”
Along with running her clothing line OM by G, Georgina is also a proud mum.
She and Cristiano welcomed daughter Alana Martina on 12 November 2017 and announced in October 2021 that they’re expecting twins – a boy and a girl.
“Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you #blessed,” the footballer shared on social media.
The babies – a boy and a girl – arrived in April 2022, but the football star’s newborn son died shortly after Georgina gave birth.
“We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures,” Cristiano captioned the first family photo since Georgina and the baby arrived home from hospital.
“Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family. Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”
Cristiano is also dad to Cristiano Jr, whose mother has never been publicly revealed, and twins Eva and Mateo Ronaldo through an anonymous surrogate.

“Cristiano is great. He’s a very normal guy,” Georgina mused on her Netflix series.
