Chris Pratt has made his first public appearance following his highly-publicised split from Anna Faris.
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor, 38, attended the Teen Choice Awards in L.A, addressing the crowd after he won the Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor category.
During the simple speech, he tactfully avoided discussing the recent breakdown of his marriage.
“When I came to Los Angeles, I came from Hawaii and I had all of this blonde hair and I was tan and I met an agent because I really wanted to be an actor and get an agent and he said, ‘Wow. Bro you must surf?’ he said. “And I said ‘Yeah’ and that was the first of many lies I told to get where I am today. Thank you.”
He added: “I would not be here with the ease and grace I have in my heart without my lord and savior, Jesus Christ.”
Chris’ appearance sent social media into overdrive as eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed that his wedding ring was nowhere to be seen.

The 38-year-old thanked his fans and Jesus for supporting him.
Onlookers were quick to point out that the much-loved actor wasn’t wearing his wedding ring at the event.
But there’s hope yet the duo may reconcile!
According to professional matchmaker, reality TV star and family friend Patti Stanger, there’s still hope for the recently-split couple.
“Okay, so this is really hard because I’m close to them,” Stanger told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday. “I’m upset about it. The day it happened, I actually texted them. I don’t know what happened there, [Chris] is still living in the house. Let’s pray it turns around.”
“If [Pratt]’s still in the house, there’s hope,” she continued. “If the person doesn’t leave the house, there’s a lot of hope there. That means they still love each other. Because they’re not poor…they could go get a condo, Airbnb it. It’s just that they don’t want to leave each other. There’s a lot of best friend factor there. They’re very close as BFFs.”
Professional matchmaker and family friend Patti Stanger thinks there’s still hope for the former couple.
Earlier this month, the Parks and Recreation alum and the Mom star, 40, announced plans to separate after eight years of marriage.
“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” the pair wrote in a joint statement. “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.”
Since tying the knot in 2009, Chris and Anna have fast become one of the most adored couples in Hollywood.
They added: “We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another. Chris Pratt and Anna Faris.”
