Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford’s on-screen chemistry during the 1976 filming of Star Wars wasn’t just for the cameras – as it turns out, they were seeing each other off-screen too.
Carrie, 60, made the bold confession in a new interview with People magazine as she promotes her third memoir, The Princess Diarist.
“It was so intense,” Carrie tells the publication of her three-month affair with the film’s lead actor, Harrison Ford.
At the time, the star was just 19 while Harrison was 33 and married to Mary Marquardt.
“It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend,” she reflected.
“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind.”
According to another excerpt of the tell-all, obtained by Radar Online, Carrie claims Harrison was a novice in the bedroom but she wasn’t too fussed because “he really was handsome.”
Their secret romance eventually fizzled out with the starlet going on to marry Paul Simon in 1983, before splitting the following year. While Harrison split from Mary and went onto have two more marriages with Melissa Mathison from 1982 until 2004.
The Hollywood heavyweight is currently married to Calista Flockhart.
Harrison is yet to respond to Carrie’s comments.
