Carrie Bickmore is just days away from welcoming her third bub and is currently on maternity leave, so with that in mind, you’d think it would be a tough gig for the Hit Network to find her an on-air replacement.
Luckily for them, we reckon they’ve found the perfect candidate.
Joining Tommy Little as her “temporary” replacement is none other than country crooner, Keith Urban!
The Grammy Award winner will be co-hosting Carrie and Tommy from 3:00pm to 4:30pm, as he’s back Down Under for this year’s ARIA Awards – where he will also be performing his new single.
Keith certainly has some big shoes to fill as Carrie has been rather busy during her working pregnancy.
Not only was she hosting The Project, but the 37 year-old mum has also been busy working to raise money for Unicef Australia’s Save A Newborn Appeal with a hilarious pregnancy photo shoot with her radio co-host, Tommy Little.
The on-air pair released five snaps that will either make you laugh or leave you deeply disturbed. Maybe Keith and Tommy can create their own one?
The Save A Newborn Appeal has been a cause close to Carrie’s heart ever since she suffered a haemorrhage around 10 days after giving birth to her son Ollie, 10.
“I needed to be rushed to hospital and I needed an operation and blood transfusions and it was a horrible horrible horrible time,” she revealed on her and Tommy’s Instagram page.
“If it wasn’t for the incredible country that we live in and the doctors, surgeons and the healthcare that we have here, who knows what the outcome could’ve been for me because it was really touch and go.”
Carrie is already mum to Ollie, 10, with her late husband Greg Lange and Evie, three, with her current partner Chris Walker.

Meanwhile, the ARIA Awards kick off in Sydney today and Keith will be accompanied by his right-hand lady, Nicole Kidman. And it’s going to be an Aussie Christmas this year.
Speaking to news.com.au, the Oscar winner whose family is based in Nashville in the States said, “We go back to Sydney all the time. My mother lives there and as my sister lives in Singapore, my mumma needs us to go back regularly because she has two daughters.”
“My sister was there just now and Keith and I head out there for the ARIAs this week,” she added.
Keith and Nicole continue to be one of our favourite celebrity couples and after 12 years of marriage and two children later, they remain as in love as ever.
“Definitely we both met each other exactly at the right time,” Keith told People magazine in 2007.
“She said early on that she wanted to be brave with me. I feel there was something else at work, bringing us together and then just continuing to watch over us.”
