The latest development in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce is a serious one.
TMZ reports that an incident at an airport last week is what lead to Angelina filing for divorce.
The gossip outlet claims that Brad got “verbally and physically abusive with his children” after “getting wasted” on a private jet.
“He allegedly went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids,” the report reads.
“We’re told the plane landed at an airport around 8 PM, and witnesses say Pitt continued his rant on the tarmac, and even tried leaving in one of the fuel trucks.”
As is routine when an incident like this is reported, the LAPD and the LA County Department of Children and Family Services are said to be looking into the incident after somebody anonymously called it in.
TMZ also says they have spoken to a source close to Brad, who claimed people are deliberately trying to “paint him in the worst possible light.”
“He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” they are quoted as saying.
It was confirmed yesterday that Angelina was filing for divorce from Brad after 12 years together and two years of marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason.
Earlier today actress Marion Cotillard was forced to deny any involvement in the split, following claims Angelina’s private investigator uncovered an affair between the First Allied co-stars.
Both Brad and Angelina have asked for privacy for the sake of their children.
