Bindi posted a selfie to her 202,000 Instagram followers and she looked nothing like how we remember her.
The 16 year-old accentuated her features with a dark lipstick and black eye-liner, fittingly she paired the photo with some inspirational words about inner beauty.
“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself,” wrote Steve Irwin’s daughter.
She then quoted American author Scott Westerfeld and mused: “What you do, the way you think, makes you beautiful.”
Bindi turns 17 next month and like any girl her age, her wardrobe no longer consists of just khaki, she seems to be experimenting with new clothes and different make-up.
The wildlife conservationist has spent most of her life in the spotlight, since she won the people’s hearts in 2006 when she gave a touching speech during her father’s funeral service.
Since then, the young Irwin has created an impressive career for herself, bagging a Logie and a Daytime Emmy, not to mention a host of films, television shows and video games to her name.
The death of her Steven Irwin hasn’t meant Bindi has slowed down on continuing her dad’s conservation legacy, she spends most her time with brother Robert and mum Terri at family owned Australia Zoo.
