Bindi Irwin is being slammed online for her response to an American farm owner’s plea for help.
The farm owner, Taylor Blake, known on Twitter as Eco Sister, reached out to Bindi in a desperate plea to help her beloved emu Emmanuel who is suffering from avian influenza.
Taylor reached out to Bindi, Terri, and Robert Irwin via Twitter saying: “I have been a fan of your family for as long as I can remember, I am reaching out to you in total desperation right now. I need help saving my emu, Emmanuel. I will pay to fly anyone to us, if they can help, no questions asked!”
Bindi responded to the plea saying that she could not provide help and that they have never treated an emu with this “particular disease”.
“Thank you so much for reaching out. Through our Wildlife Hospital which has treated over 100,000 animals including emus, we have never treated an emu with this particular disease,” Bindi replied via Twitter.
“We will need to rely on our fellow animal experts with more experience with this avian flu. Our hearts are with you and we appreciate that you care so deeply and have such compassion for darling Emmanuel,” Bindi continued.
“We believe that all of us need to have love for each and every individual animal. We hope that someone who has greater experience in this area can be of assistance. Sending love and light your way from our entire family.”

One person commented on Bindi’s response saying that it was “pathetic” and “useless”.
“What a pathetic, useless reply. Zero effort to help when you’re in a supposedly unique position to use your influence and contacts to actually help her. Thoughts and prayers are cheap. You are unimpressive and that’s being polite,” the person wrote.
Although some people took a hit at Bindi’s response, others agreed that the statement fairly addressed that they were unable to help.
“They are being highly honest about what their services can offer… no bullsh-t… Emmanuel doesn’t need bullsh-t,” one person commented.
