Bindi Irwin has shared an adorable video of her daughter, Grace Warrior, recognising the late Steve Irwin and Terri ‘Bunny’ Irwin while visiting the zoo.
The 24-year-old mother and her husband Chandler Powell have made it very clear they intend to make ‘Grandpa Crocodile’ an important part of their daughter’s childhood.
Such an adorable family.
(Image: Instagram)“Tears in my eyes as I share this video. We call my mum and dad, Bunny and Grandpa Crocodile with Grace. She loves them (and koalas) dearly. On every zoo walk she searches for pictures of her grandparents and it is beyond beautiful,” she captioned the image.
In the video, Bindi can be heard asking, “where is grandpa crocodile?” and Grace immediately pointed to her departed grandfather.

Fans were left emotional from the interaction, and Wildlife Warriors Worldwide commented “Now we’re crying too”.

(Image: Instagram)Grace Warrior Irwin was born 25 March 2021 and was never given the chance to meet her grandpa after he was killed in an accidental stingray attack on the Great Barrier Reef on 4 September 2006.
In early August, Bindi posted another video tribute to Instagram of Grace running around the Australian Zoo looking for Steve.
“We have a little construction going on to make our Tasmanian devil habitat @australiazoo even more beautiful. Grace’s favourite part? Visiting Grandpa Crocodile. All the love,” she wrote.
Bindi and Chandler often share stories and memories of ‘Grandpa Crocodile’.
“It’s so fun to watch her study him. I didn’t realise how much dad’s passion for life and his animated facial expressions – I mean, they captivate her,” Bindi told People in May 2022.
On The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this year, Bindi revealed her new tattoo on her forearm features her daughter’s name in Steve’s handwriting.
“When beautiful Grace Warrior was born, my first words were that she’s our graceful warrior. And that’s how she actually got her name,” she said.
“And so in her honour, I got graceful warrior tattooed on my arm with my dad’s writing so that my beautiful daughter and my dad could always be together and be with me.”
