New dad Ashton Kutcher has joked about the reason he and Mila Kunis chose the name Wyatt for their baby girl.
While talking to Conan O’Brien, the 36-year-old gushed as he lovingly chatted about the couple’s bundle of joy and revealed why the proud new parents picked the unusual name.
“We had another name picked out,” Ashton confessed.
“We got pregnant a couple of weeks after we picked the name but when we were pregnant, the name didn’t fit the energy we were feeling. One night, Mila was like,’This is not the name.’ I was like, ‘okay it’s not the name.’
The Two and A Half Men star said the pair had to think of a name quick-smart and admitted it was no easy feat.
“I had to get the creative juices going,” he said.
“I just started listing off anything and everything I saw: ‘sign, truck, wall, door.’ She was like, ‘Shut up!’ I said, ‘if you don’t accept my bad ideas, you’ll never accept the good ones.’
“Then I was like,’I’ve got a really dumb idea. What about Wyatt?’ She goes, ‘That’s it’.”
Ashton said Wyatt was given her middle name, Isabelle, after Mila’s grandfather who was Yitzhak.
The engaged duo welcomed Wyatt into the world on September 30 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
