Actor Chris Pratt has confirmed his marriage to Anna Faris has come to an end.
Taking to Facebook, the Jurassic Park star explained they were devastated by the demise of their marriage.
“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” the statement began.
“Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.”
“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another. Chris Pratt and Anna Faris,” it concluded.
Anna, 40, posted the same message on her Instagram page.
Since tying the knot in 2009, Chris and Anna have fast become one of the most adored couples in Hollywood and are the proud parents to their son Jack Pratt, who turns four this month.
In December, Anna confessed to being rattled by rumours her husband had cheated on her with his Passengers co-star Jennifer Lawrence.
“It made me feel incredibly insecure,” she mused on her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified.
“Chris and I, we talk about this a lot. We grapple with a lot of the ideas of being a public couple.”

But the actress dismissed the allegations Chris had hooked up with Jennifer as rubbish.
“I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me, because I didn’t want to think of myself as somebody who could be affected by … tabloid s—.”
Meanwhile Chris admitted he felt jealous over Anna’s sex scenes with Chris Evans in What’s Your Number? but after Evans reached out to him, the anger waned.
Anna admits she was rocked by claims Chris cheated on her with his co-star Jennifer Lawrence, but shut down the allegations.
“He’s so handsome and cool, and Chris did something, he gave me such a major gift in that moment where he just embraced me and was like, ‘Hey, man, this is weird.’ We hung out, we got together, we became friends, and immediately any weirdness that was there disappeared,” the 38-year-old explained.
The father-of-one says co-star Jennifer Lawrence also used the same approach with Anna.
“The same thing happened with Jen and Anna. [Jen] gave her this nice Dior handbag and called her and texted her and appeared on her podcast.”
