It’s been a rough few months for love — first Sophie Monk and Stu Laudy called it quits, then came Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s shock split, and across the pond we saw Claire Foy and Stephen Campbell say enough’s enough.

And now, according to multiple outlets, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally set to close the book on their fairytale-marriage-turned-bitter-divorce. They’re expected to finalise their divorce within the next few weeks.

The Daily Mail reports the former couple have “agreed on terms” for their divorce and “are believed to have finally made their relationship ‘respectful’ for the sake of their six children.”

Of course, Brad, 54, and Angelina, 42, are parents to Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and 9-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

The Sun is also reporting that divorce is imminent, noting that while it mightn’t seem positive it really is a step in the right direction for the actors: “It’s a huge turnaround from where the marriage ended, especially given the claims Angelina made against Brad, but they are now on pretty good terms.”

The Jolie-Pitt brood during happier times.

The duo split last September, after over a decade together and two years of marriage.

The Oscar-winning actress reportedly filed for divorce following a fight between Brad and Maddox, while the family was aboard a private jet. Several reports have indicated that Brad was “verbally abusive” and became “physical” with the teenager as the altercation slowly spiralled out of control.

In a restrained, though revealing interview for the September issue of Vanity Fair, the brunette opened up about how her children are coping with the split.

“It’s just been the hardest time, and we’re just kind of coming up for air,” she told the publication. “We’re all trying to do our best to heal our family.”

She added that the family are still “healing” from events that led to the divorce.

“They’re not healing from divorce. They’re healing from some . . . from life, from things in life,” she said.

“They’re six very strong-minded, thoughtful, worldly individuals. I’m very proud of them. They’ve been very brave. They were very brave.”

We wish Brad, Ange and their children all the very best in this new chapter!
