The 10-month-old baby girl has been named Edie – a mix of cute, yet prim and proper.

And it looks like the bundle of joy is already putting the couple through their paces. Earlier this week Murray shared a picture of himself on his Instagram stories sporting a bloody nose along with the caption, “When playing with your 10 month old daughter gets a bit too physical!”

Warning, if you’re a bit squeamish, look away now.

This hasn’t been the only injury Murray has sustained of late. He only just recovered from a hip injury, making his comeback to the court at the US Open this week.

Unfortunately, the Wimbledon Champion was knocked out in the second round after a four-set battle between long-time rival Fernando Verdasco.

The silver lining to his early exit? More father-daughter time for the 31-year-old dad, who has been outspoken on the joys of fatherhood in the past after the birth of his first daughter, two year-old Sophia.

“The thing that has surprised me most is how quickly everything changes – from the first day she was born,” he told The Guardian.

“You don’t notice it when you’re there every day but you look back at a photo on the day she was born to one taken five days later to now, a few weeks on, and you see how much things change on a daily basis.”

“[Fatherhood] is a positive thing – and tennis not being your priority can help. It lends perspective when you have a bad loss or bad practice.

“The outcome of a match is not everything but I want my daughter to be proud of her dad when she grows up and sees what I did.”

We’ll just be over here reveling in the cuteness that is the Murray family.
