Recent snaps of the Gossip Girl star during an outing with her husband in LA over the weekend show an undeniable baby belly and needless to say, she is glowing!
The 29-year-old star’s burgeoning bump was obvious in a tight grey shirt but if that didn’t give it away, her radiant smile certainly did.
The couple are yet to confirm the pregnancy but they are notoriously private about their personal lives, last year they married in secret just months after announcing their engagement and made their first official appearance together almost six months into the marriage.
The exciting news isn’t totally unexpected as the actress revealed to Nylon Magazine last year that kids were on the cards for the soon-to-be first time parents.
“’Most people I know are starting to get married. It’ll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I’ve got dogs,” she said.
The couple met on the set of the 2013 film The Oranges and their relationship sent fans wild!
Leighton and Brody, who rose to fame playing Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl and Seth Cohen in The OC respectively, teamed up in 2014 for the film Life Partners.
Leighton, who has focused more on her music career of late, became estranged from her mother in 2011 when they took a financial dispute to court.
The actress’s brother has medical complications and as a result she agreed to pay his expenses and school tuition to which Leighton alleged that her mother instead spent that money on cosmetic surgery.
Despite this, she won’t be short of mother figures with former co-star and real-life bestie Blake Lively giving birth the her first child recently with actor Ryan Reynolds.
We can only imagine how cute their new baby’s play dates will be!
