She may be a five-time TV WEEK Logie nominee but for actress Ada Nicodemou, nothing brings her more joy than her family.
And over the weekend, the Home And Away favourite rung in a special new role – that of godmother to her niece Sofia.
To mark the occasion, the 43-year-old took to social media to pay tribute to her goddaughter.
“I had the honour of christening this gorgeous girl yesterday. Sofia I love you so much already and promise to protect you always,” Ada penned alongside a beautiful photo of her holding her newborn niece on her christening day.
“Thank you to @cnico1980 and @efiakos for choosing me to be Sofia’s godmother ❤️ And a big thank you to @velani and @velani_christening_couture for making both our incredible gowns ⭐️,” the star concluded.
The actor’s Home and Away castmates were quick to comment on her post.
Lynne McGranger, who was also in attendance at the christening to support her good friend, cheekily commented, “Good photography, 😍” and it can only be assumed she was the creative director behind the snap.
Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn on the show, mused, “So beautiful Aunty Ada 💗💗.”
Ada looked stunning at the christening in a white mini dress with a corset bodice and an off-the-shoulder tulle accent.
While Sofia wore a bespoke white christening gown by Australian label Velani Christening Couture, which featured floral embroidery and an adorable matching head piece.
Sofia, whose father is Ada’s brother, was born in February and has quickly stolen her auntie’s heart.
At the time of her birth, the mother-of-one shared a series of photos documenting their special first meeting and beamed: “Our proud new addition to the family, meet my gorgeous and adorable niece Sofia Nicodemou❤️🌹.”
There is no doubt Sofia will be a very lucky girl with a godmother like Ada.
