It was one of the most brutal Bachelor dumpings in the the show’s history.
Who could ever forget the moment Matt Agnew revealed his “heart belongs to someone else” as Abbie Chatfield immediately let go of his hands and walked away.
But now, the reality TV star’s heartbreak is all but a distant memory as she goes public with a new love – and he has his own claim to fame and a surprising Bachelor connection, too!
On Thursday, Abbie shared several loved up shots from a wedding with her boyfriend and former Channel V presenter, Danny Clayton.
“Joyous vibes 😫,” the rumoured I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star captioned the first shot, which showed the happy couple beaming at the camera.
Friends and fans were quick to flood the announcement snap with messages of support.
“My heart THERE IS HOPE LEFT FOR THE REST OF US BACHIE REJECTS,” Laura Calleri from Locky Gilbert’s season of the show penned.
“omg is this finally official? So cute.😍😍😍,” another penned.
“This is IT,” a third wrote.
Meanwhile Danny, who rose to fame as a presenter on the now defunct youth music station Channel V, cheekily penned under the snap: “Nestle into the bosom. ⚽️⚽️.”
The 23-year-old also took to her Instagram Stories to share more photos with her new man.
In one snap, Danny, 34, can be seen poking fun of Abbie’s Bachelor ties as he hands her a rose.
“FYI I was nine when I had a crush on @dannyclayton. Dreams come true,” Abbie captioned her story, in reference to the fact she watched Danny on Channel V as a kid.
Romance rumours between Danny and Abbie first began swirling back in June when the pair were spotted on a very flirty date in Sydney.
Danny became Channel V’s youngest presenter after landing fresh from high school in 2004. At the subscription television music channel, the star went on to work alongside none other than Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg, who was then known as Andrew G.
Since appearing on the 2019 season of The Bachelor, Abbie has gone on to briefly star on BIP and hosts her own podcast called It’s A Lot. She will reportedly next appear on our screens in the upcoming season of I’m A Celeb, which premieres on January 4.
