“I am certainly not a morning person, I never want to wake up. The alarm is snoozed at least 2-3 times before I can bring myself to open my eyes. But once I wake up, I’m super happy! The first thing I do is roll over and give my husband a cuddle; then I check my emails and texts and reply to anything urgent. The first thing I usually say is “thank you for my coffee” because my husband always makes our morning coffee.”

“Right now I’m in LA writing new music and I usually have to get to the studio around noon, so I set the alarm for 7.30am so I can fit in a coffee and breakfast in bed (usually a banana) while watching an episode of Sex & The City or The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. We like waking up and watching something lighthearted and funny. Then we put on some quiet meditation music and meditate for 20 minutes before going to the gym.”

“I love to workout in the morning – it just gets my mind going. It’s a great way to start the day and I generally find that if I don’t get out the door and do it, it doesn’t happen. I love running and the spin bike!”

“I have a shower and wash my face after my morning workout. My morning beauty routine is pretty simple. I use La Roche-Posay Lipikar Replenishing Cleansing Oil on my body with an exfoliating glove and wash my face with Cosmedix Purity Clean Exfoliating Cleanser. Twice a week, I’ll wash my hair using Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo paired with Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner. Then I moisturise my body using Alpha Keri Supple Skin Shower & Body Oil and my face with La Mer Moisturizing Soft Cream. It takes me about 45 minutes from when I jump in the shower to when I walk out the door.”

“After my workout, I’ll spend some time preparing for my day in the studio, by going through my concepts and deciding which idea I want to work on for the day. Before I leave for the studio, I make my food for the day and I take it with me in a cool bag. For lunch, I’ll have a big salad or something I can pick on while I work like a veggie plate with hummus.”

“Right now I’m in the studio most days, so it’s all about comfort. My wardrobe basically consists of all of the same things in black, white and grey and I just mix and match everything. My everyday go-to is black leggings with an over-sized tee and white leather sneakers. And I always carry a scarf because I hate being even the slightest bit cold.”

“I always text Rich when I arrive at the studio – just so he knows I got there safely. Some days I’ll send him a voice recording of the song we are working on to get his opinion or just to share my excitement. I usually work in the studio from 12pm and I can finish anywhere between 6pm and 3am if we are on a roll. No two days are ever the same.”

“I drive home from work and sing along at the top of my lungs to my favourite playlists! As soon as I get home, I get into my fluffy robe and slippers!”

“Some days I like to light some candles and have a hot bath and listen to some relaxing music. When I’m working, my hair can get really dry and fragile from all of the heat styling so I make sure I take the time to do a weekly hair mask. I use Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Intensive Hair Masque to keep my hair strong and shiny.”

“I find cooking helps me relax and wind down – I really enjoy it. We have the same thing every night – a big bowl of sautéed vegetables and a couple of nights a week I’ll have chicken or steak with it. One of my favourite things to do with my friends, is have a big cook up! My friends always request my lamb cutlets which I do two ways, herb and balsamic marinated and then just straight up crispy and salty.”

“I am the cook in our house – so I love going out and having someone else cook for me. I love Rockpool Bar & Grill for steak; there’s also a French restaurant called Bistro Boulevard in Avalon that does amazing Steak Frites! Otherwise I’ll typically lean towards Italian. My favourite spot is Essenza Italian in Surry Hills. I’ve been going there for years for the Spaghetti Carbonara – it’s not on the menu but the chef will make it especially for me when I go there.”

“We usually jump into bed around 11pm and watch some TV while we go to sleep. Right now we’re loving Ray Donovan and The Crown. The last thing I do before bed? Tell my husband I love him.”
