Hollywood has strutted their stuff on the SAG red carpet and now it’s time for the pointy end of business as all the winners are announced for the 24th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Taking to the stage, the show’s first-ever host Kristen Bell started the night with a powerful monologue, touching on the #MeToo movement.
“Everyone’s story deserves to be told — especially now,” she said.
“We are living in a watershed moment, and as we march forward with active momentum and open ears, let’s make sure that we’re leading the charge with empathy and diligence. Because fear and anger never win the race.”
All eyes will be on Aussie starlets Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie and we’ll be cheering for the local ladies when their categories are announced.
The SAG Awards are considered the ultimate seal of approval from your peers – because unlike other award shows, the SAG voting committee is made up entirely of actors.
