So when she stepped out this week for a public engagement with a rather dressed-down accessory – it was a break from the norm – though no less appropriate.
Attending the the Wightman Road Mosque in London on Wednesday, Camilla looked striking in a long black overcoat and white shirt.
During her visit, Camilla spoke to leaders from the London Islamic Cultural Society to hear how they had supported each other and the local community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Respectful to Islamic culture and Muslim custom, Camilla wore a white headscarf and left her boots behind as she entered the Mosque.
Instead, the Duchess wore a gorgeous pair of black fluffy slippers, which were adorned with a diamond-centered bow.
Camilla swapped into a pair of slippers as she stepped inside the Mosque.

The Mosque visited by Camilla this week has been a staple in the areas relief effort in the wake of the pandemic.
As per a statement from Clarence House, members of the mosque helped people in need by distributing food hampers as well as providing counselling and advice to those struggling.
The Mosque was also the first to hold a pop-up vaccine centre in Haringey, in an effort to especially help people who felt hesitant about receiving the vaccine to come forward.
