She dipped her toe back into acting last year, filming Australian film 13 Summers, yet to be released. But sources say that Bec Hewitt has her sights set on Hollywood again, after rubbing shoulders with the A-listers at Wimbledon last month.
“When Bec popped up in the Royal Box behind the Princess of Wales and alongside Julia Roberts and Tom Cruise, for those who know her it was the biggest hint of all that she’s dreaming of a career comeback after years of playing second fiddle to her husband,” says an insider.
“She’s heading for bigger and better things now that her three kids are older. She will see making it in Hollywood as the holy grail!”

Luckily, Lleyton, 43, is regarded as tennis royalty in the UK, as the source says it isn’t easy to get a prime spot in the Royal Box.

“But he has very good connections with the All England Lawn & Tennis hierarchy and being a former winner of Wimbledon he would’ve wrangled the couple’s VIP seats months ago,” says the source.
According to the source, the 41-year-old had an awakening after travelling to the US in April with dancer daughter Ava, 12, to cheer her on at her dance competitions.
“She’s realised she’s still got plenty of gas left in the acting tank. She’s been exploring limited opportunities here in Australia and decided, while she loves the idea of home-turf projects, she’s ready to give one last big push to making it in Hollywood,” says a source of Bec, who has largely concentrated on being a mum to her three kids since leaving Home And Away in 2005.
“You’re never too old to do something that you love,” the star declared ahead of her second Dancing With The Stars stint in 2021. Bec readily admitted, “It was really fun being back in the front of the camera.”
BACK TO SOAPS?
And the insider says she wants them to keep rolling – even if it means returning to her soapie roots.
“Knowing Bec’s tenacity, she could even convince some of the longest running shows like Days Of Our Lives to write a new Aussie character into their storyline – that could give her a little bit of security while exploring the US market.”
With Lleyton and her son Cruz off on the demanding international tennis circuit chasing the talented teen’s dreams and her daughters Mia and dance-obsessed Ava rocking their own showbiz careers, this really is the time for Bec to shine!
