Home and Away fans know that Ada Nicodemou has a wonderfully close relationship with her son, Johnas.
But the depth of their connection has been proved once again through a letter penned by the nine-year-old.
During lockdown, the duo braved homeschooling together, and as most parents know, this process can be difficult at some times and rewarding at others.
Now, Johnas is back at school, and on one of his first days back, he was instructed by his teacher to honour Ada with an โAmazing Award.โ
Johnasโ words touched Adaโs heart.

He wrote, โDear mum. Thanks for helping me through a tough time (homeschooling) I couldnโt do home learning without your help. Johnas.โ
Of course, Ada was deeply touched by this token of gratitude, and she captioned her post, โI received an award today for homeschooling, thanks, my beautiful boy. Love u so much and enjoyed every part of it.โ
Even though the pair may feel nostalgic for that time together, Ada wasnโt afraid to share the hard reality of home learning during lockdown.

Ada captioned the stressful snap, โReady for another day of homeschooling ๐กโค๏ธ.โ
Co-star and close family friend Lynne McGranger had commented on the post, โGood luck to you all ๐๐๐ฅฐ๐.โ
Home learning wasnโt their only struggle in lockdown โ they also dealt with missing their family after so much time apart.
At one point, the Home and Away star shared an Instagram story about how much theyโve been missing their loved ones.

โGot to hangout with my gorgeous goddaughter today.โ

Ada captioned the picture, โMissing his little cousin.โ
Thankfully, the family was able to reunite when Sydneyโs lockdown rules eased, and the 44-year-old met up with Sofia at a local park; and she captioned their adorable pictures together, โGot to hangout with my gorgeous goddaughter todayโฆ sheโs super cuddly and adorable ๐ฅฐ โค๏ธ.โ
