There’s a lot Elizabeth Taylor is remembered for – and at the top of that list is her beautiful “violet” eyes.
Now footage from 1974 of her making up those gorgeous peepers of hers has gone live and make-up mavens and fans are going mad for it.
In just a handful of seconds, she effortlessly applies shadow and liner to one eye to match her other one. And, yes, the lustrous lashes and some of the liner is already in place, but nevertheless, this video is quite hypnotic to watch.

Apparently the all-time Hollywood great was no outsourcing diva when it came to make-up and would often put her own on when shooting movies. And as you can see in this video, she was pretty adept.
And another rumour – Liz’s love of the blue smoky eye stemmed from her obsession with making here eyeballs look extra white. A smudge of deep indigo shadow on the lid does exactly that, say make-up artists.
