A slew of A-list men are on a manicured mission to change lives!
In a new beauty trend sweeping social media, men are trying their hand at paining their nails – or rather one nail, for a cause that has the ability to improve the lives of children everywhere.
Actors like Liam and Chris Hemsworth, Zac Efron and Suits star Gabriel Macht are just a few of Hollywood’s biggest names to take on the Polished Man movement, a campaign designed to raise awareness and funds against sexual and physical violence of children under 18.
Tragically, as one in five children under 18 currently fall victim to such horrific violence, just one out of the five nails are required to be polished.

“Happy to paint one nail and be a @PolishedMan this month to say no to violence against children. 1 in 5 children are subject to physical and/or sexual violence before the age of 18 and that’s one too many,” wrote Zac Efron beside his scarlet nail selfie.
In a bid to spread the word, polished men are required to nominate a handful of their friends to post their own mani.
The High School Musical alum was nominated by Chris Hemsworth, who has also since encouraged his brother Liam, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Ruffalo to get involved.
“Being a Polished Man means you don’t turn your back on the vulnerable. You raise your voice – and nail – to say, ‘not on my watch,’” says the campaign’s description.
“You embrace the smirks and know it doesn’t matter; there are worse things than being embarrassed by a little mani.
“Because nailing it isn’t about shouting the first round, or how much you lift. Nailing it is saying no to violence against children.”
This year, the cause has inspired over 7,000 Instagram posts and has so far exceeded last year’s donations by over $200,000!
