Mariah Carey is rumoured to be launching a beauty company with her manager Stella Bulochnikov, and we imagine it won’t be anything short of amazing if the rumours are true.
Off the back of Mariah’s successful limited-edition holiday collection with MAC Cosmetics, the star is clearly feeling confident enough to go out on her own. Her MAC collection featured 23 products — named after her favourite songs — ranging from lipstick to eyeshadow, and everything in between.
The collection also included plenty of wearable colours, along with the stand-out glitter and shimmer you would expect from the iconic diva.
“Mariah and Stella are opening a business together, their own beauty company that they hope will feature their own products of makeup, skin care and fragrances,” a source told Page Six. “They plan on opening a brick-and-mortar store in Beverly Hills and have been secretly looking at a number of retail spaces with a plan to unveil it this holiday season or next year by the latest.”
We predict Mariah would want a very understated, minimalist shop decor – no, we’re obviously completely kidding. We expect full walls of Swarovski crystals and nothing else.
On release of her MAC products, Mariah told Allure: “The colour palette is a range of pinks, lots of gold and corals along with deeper tones, too. I put a lot of what I like, because I know these colours really work. I’m a beauty-school dropout, but I learned some things. I chose the shades and products that I would wear not necessarily just for stage. You can definitely wear it all in your regular life.”
So we’re hoping for something just as wearable, but hopefully with a bit of glam.
