1. IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50+ review
This CC cream is one of the best formulas we’ve found that evens out your skin without looking cakey and protects you skin as it contains SPF 50+.
It was developed by plastic surgeons to be dermatologically safe, and the brand conducted its own clinical trials which showed women immediately noticed a 179% improvement to their skin’s hydration.
Most importantly, this CC cream contains an anti-ageing serum, so you’re getting skincare benefits with your makeup. Collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and vitamins A, B, C and E are all ingredients and all work against ageing.
The product can be built up to full coverage, or you can use it sparingly on areas of concern. The finish is glowy, but won’t make you look oily.
I used shade Fair, which is the lightest colour in this product line.
2. Nude By Nature Touch Of Glow Highlight Stick in Rose review
This is an easy way to add a swipe of colour to your cheeks, lips and even eyes. The rose-gold tone provides a sheer wash of colour, meaning you won’t look like you’re suffering from an horrific allergy on your eye lid, but can be built up to a natural flush on the cheeks.
This cream-to-powder formula is very smooth to apply and is also just a tiny bit shimmery, giving you a subtle glow that adds dimension and highlight. Active ingredients like Australian Kakadu Plum – which is high in vitamin C – are antioxidant, while vitamin E is moisturising on the skin and won’t dry your lips out.
3. Rimmel London Volume Colourist Mascara
This may look like your regular mascara, but this ultra-black colour is formulated to tint your lashes over time. Although you’ll probably never be able to skip mascara altogether (tint doesn’t equal miracles), darker lashes mean gaps in your application as less obvious so you’ll be able to get away with a rushed job. The subtle tint also adds definition to your eyes when you’re not wearing makeup.
The fluffy, tapered brush easily reaches small lashes, and it picked up even my shortest hairs, while it also added volume and didn’t clump. On my eyes, it also lengthened my lashes.
