MAFS fans are more than annoyed Alene forced Simon to do something with his hair

Something no other women has done before. Cough.
Simon's makeover on Married at First Sight

Before and after, same Simon just with a fancier 'do.

It’s only been a couple weeks of marriage but already Alene has got her way when it comes to how her husband Simon looks. The newlyweds have often argued about his mop of curly hair, which Alene has never been a fan of.

She’s had an issue with his hair since day one.

Last night during the “Surrender Date” where, instead of Simon Says it was a case of Alene Says (basically he had to do everything she asked), he eventually gave in to his wife’s nagging, er sorry, wishes and cut his hair and ditched his daggy wardrobe.

Oh just do it, Simon.

After the big reveal, Alene couldn’t have been more pumped with her sexy new man and couldn’t stop touching him.

Chemistry was off the charts.

“Oh my god, oh my god… you look great,” Alene managed to get out in-between squeals.

“It’s still the same me,” Simon replied. Wise, Simon, it’s the inside that counts and all that.

“So there you go. You finally got what you wanted, my dear,” he added.

Oh ouch, anyone else get scolded by that backhanded burn?

Woah, undercover babe.

Some viewers weren’t as thrilled as Alene and slammed her for using the date as a way to change him (but isn’t that what us women all want to do – “improve” our partner?!).

Posts ranged from the miffed:

To the scathing:

To the why is everyone getting so fired up about this?:

But at the end of the day, Simon himself seemed pretty chuffed with his new look and in a piece-to-camera said just that:

“It’s still a bit of time to get used ’cause I have to admit it’s just a little bit different, out of my comfort zone. But it’s a definite nice change.”
