She’s the Aussie supermodel who struts the catwalk for brands including Victoria’s Secret, Seafolly and Portmans, but now blonde bombshell Jessica Hart is promoting her own brand – a cosmetics line.
After three and a half years in development, the 28-year-old beauty unveiled her natural range called LUMA Cosmetics in Sydney this week.
The self-confessed ‘beauty product junkie’ says the idea for the range came from her favourite makeup items.
“A lot of things get discontinued and you just can’t find them anymore. I wanted a basic range of essentials that were all-natural and easy to use. These products enhance what you already have,” she tells The Weekly.
“I would probably describe myself as being a little lazy when it came to make up. Because I wore so much of it with work, I was never really into putting anything on my face on my days off. Don’t get me wrong, I loved playing with it and being in the industry, I learnt what looked good and worked on my skin tone, but I just didn’t know where to start when it came to doing my own face!”
The supermodel says the line, which includes an illuminating highlighter, bronzer, liquid foundation, tinted moisturiser, mascara, eye shadows, lip glosses and sheer lipsticks, has been well-received by her friends and make-up artists.
“Everyone has been really supportive,” she tells The Weekly.
“[LUMA] is about looking better without trying hard.”
Jess recently collaborated with the charity, Pink Hope, by designing a lipstick for their Bright Pink Lipstick Day.
“It is such a great organisation and a great cause and very women-driven. It’s perfect for our brand,” she says.
