Courteney Cox has opened up about her cosmetic procedures, saying she regrets chasing youth.
The 52-year-old actress made the candid confession to survival king Bear Grylls when she appeared on his show Running Wild With Bear Grylls.
In a new video clip released by the production, the mother-of-one talks about how she found growing older much harder than she thought it would be.
“Getting older is not the easiest thing,” the brunette confessed. “But I have learnt lessons.”
“I was trying to keep up with getting older and trying to chase that,” she continued.
“Getting older is not the easiest thing. But I have learnt lessons,” the Friends beauty confided.
But Courteney admitted it wasn’t successful for one very important reason.
“It’s something you can’t keep up with,” she said. “The more you relax with it and the less you try…”
She confesses that she definitely wasn’t a fan of the way she looked after her various cosmetic procedures.
“Sometimes you find yourself trying and then you look at a picture of yourself and you go, ‘Oh god, I look horrible.’”

Courteney says she feels lucky that she didn’t do anything that was totally permanent.
“I have done things that I regret, and luckily there are things that dissolve and go away. So that’s good because it’s not always been my best look.”
The brunette’s new life motto is: “let it be”.
The mother-of-one showed off her hunting skills as she appeared on Running Wild With Bear Grylls.
And Bear was the first to praise the star’s genuine look and persona.
“The natural you is amazing,” he said. “And there’s life in your eyes.”
While on the show with Bear, Courteney had to involve herself in several activities, dangerous and disgusting, and was apprehensive about the process.

In one scene she has to pull herself across a ravine, dangling from a harness and a rope.
In another, she is forced to pick apart a sheep scrotum full of maggots as Bear talks her into her alternative dinner.
It’s safe to say Courteney looked suitably shocked when Bear revealed their menu for the night.
