Just weeks after confirming her split from Bachelorette winner Darvid Garayeli, Brooke Blurton has debuted a bold new look for herself.

The proud Noongar-Yamatji woman embraced her spontaneous side as she headed into the salon on Tuesday, deciding to leave her transformation up to chance.

Sharing her makeover on Instagram, Brooke posted a clip that showed her closing her eyes and choosing each part of her hairstyle blind.

Her stylist would hold out two slips of paper with different options for colour, cut and style, then Brooke would select one with no clue what it said.

It was a big transformation for Brooke Blurton!

The 27-year-old said in her caption that she was inspired by TikTok star Brooke Styles, who used a similar guessing game to decide her hairstyle recently.

“I had to step out of my comfort zone today and thanks to these two angels Bonnie and Carla at @carlalawsonhairextensions who looked after me in the salon today,” she wrote.

First, Bachelorette Brooke chose her new colour, selecting the ‘brunette’ option, then picked the ‘shorter’ card for length.

When it came to her fringe, the reality star selected ‘curtain bangs’ – though she had no clue what she had picked.

Then it was time to settle down in a salon chair for her huge transformation, which left her sporting a blunt, dark bob with subtle face-framing.

“What do we think? 🤎” she asked fans, posting two photos that were flooded with loving replies.

Brooke seemed thrilled with her new look and wrote in her video caption that it was “some well needed TLC for my hair and for my soul 💘”.

It sounded like a reference to her recent split from Darvid, who announced they had broken up on January 2, supposedly without warning Brooke.

At the time, the 2021 Bachelorette wrote on Instagram: “I just woke up to the news. It was definitely agreed to part ways. I just wanted to do it privately, amicably and respectfully.”

She asked people to respect her privacy while she worked through her emotions, then returned to social media to shed light on the split over a week later.

“It was my choice to end the relationship and I had been thinking about it for a bit towards the end. My reasons for that are completely valid to me,” she wrote.

Brooke said there was an intense amount of pressure on their relationship, but admitted “we both lost ourselves along the way.”

Brooke is thrilled with her new look and said it was the TLC her soul needed.

Darvid had moved to Melbourne to live with Brooke but recently returned to his native Queensland, before taking a holiday to Tasmania to “get away from it all”.

Brooke has insisted that there is nothing but respect and love between them, despite deciding to part ways.

“I still love him dearly and have no regrets choosing him. I just wish the world was a little bit more gentle on us in the time we had,” she said.

She has also been dealing with the ongoing grief of her sister’s death late last year, which she spoke candidly about on Instagram this week.

“I think I’m just hurting I still can’t even say my sister’s name without crying, and I don’t think a break up can really even compare to losing a sibling if I’m honest,” she admitted.

“I grieved the break up much quicker than I grieved my sister. But I am really excited for finding all the different cultural and meditative practices that you can do and practice to heal, and to become a better version of yourself.”

By the sounds of things, Brooke is looking towards a healing and hopeful 2022 and we wish her all the best!
