A student photographer has shot a series of self-portraits exposing just how deceptive Photoshopped images can be.
Anna Hill, a student at East Carolina University, created her own Photoshop campaign showing how any woman can be transformed into a model-esque beauty.
“People need to be reminded that the beautiful models we’re surrounded by daily aren’t actually real – without extensive makeup and editing, many don’t look any better than the rest of us.”
Miss Hill posted the images on Reddit and says the response from the public has been “overwhelming”.
“No one will ever know as long as you never let anyone see you in person again.”
Anna Hill dramatically changed her appearance using Photoshop, which she taught herself to use when she was eight.
Mascara companies promise longer lashes, then Photoshop the model’s eyelashes. Miss Hill decided to give herself longer legs.
“I beauty advertisements, skin is unbelievably perfect with no pores. I purposely made my skin flawless to point out how unrealistic this look is.”
