There are people who have realistic #bodygoals, and then there are people who make us throw our hands in the air and beg the question: “How do they do it!?”
Pippa Middleton well and truly falls into the latter category.
Stepping out in a rare public moment, the brand new mum (who gave birth 11 weeks ago, might we add), wore a bikini that had us, our friends, and our friends of friends in awe.
Indeed the genetically-blessed sister of Kate Middleton couldn’t have looked more toned and fit as she rocked a triangle-style bikini while holidaying in St. Barts in early January.
So how did the trendy royal do it?
Lucky for us, the 35-year-old is an open book when it comes to her exercise routine.
In fact, throughout her pregnancy she wrote a weekly column for Waitrose magazine about how she was staying healthy and keeping fit.
“I decided to use my own initiative and adapted my current exercise routine, adjusting the weight and intensity to what felt right for me,” she wrote at the time.
The royal didn’t hold anything back when it came to the realities either, revealing that things weren’t always smooth sailing.
“I feel far from a ballerina, but I’m equally determined not to break into a penguin-style waddle and plod around with bad posture.”

In her column, Pippa also expressed her preference for barre-inspired workouts.
“[It’s] a form of exercise taken from ballet which involves the small, isolated movements that develop flattering muscle tone or so I hope,” she said.
She’s also a big fan of swimming because it offers “a wonderful feeling of weightlessness.”
“From personal experience, I’d confidently say I find it has been the most enjoyable and rewarding form of exercise since I found out I was expecting.”
From where we’re standing, it looks like it worked a treat – the new mum couldn’t look more incredible!
Story continues…
Pippa welcomed her new son with husband James Matthews in October.
The new baby’s name, Arthur Michael William Matthews, holds special significance to his doting relatives.
Arthur is the middle name of three prominent royals – cousin Prince Louis, uncle Prince William and even Prince Charles. King Arthur himself was also a prominent player in the royal world, famed for his impressive leadership in the late 5th century.
And the special significance of the name doesn’t end there. The name Michael appears to be a tribute to James’ late brother Michael, who tragically passed away at age 22 after reaching the summit of Mount Everest.
Pippa gave birth in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in West London, the same place her sister Kate gave birth to all three of her children – George, Charlotte and Louis.
Pippa’s sister Kate and husband Prince William were clearly over the moon for Pippa and James at the time, with a statement from Kensington Palace reading: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James.”
